This one has been the talk of the net today. Kevin, a contestant on The Price is Right played "Let 'em Roll" for the chance to win cash or a car. After getting 4 out of 5 car symbols, and having two rolls left to get a 5th car symbol, he elected to take $1500 even after many attempts from host Drew Carey to talk him out of it.
A lot of people are roasting him online today… but could this be a smart move? Cars are cool prizes of course, but a lot of people don't think about the fact that you have to pay thousands of dollars in taxes on that car when you win it. Maybe Kevin had that in mind, and thought that taxes on $1500 cash is a little better to take than a car that could be twenty to thirty grand.
