The Toys for Tots campaign kicked off Saturday at the Great Wolf Lodge! Organizers are hoping to collect 25,000 toys this year to help needy families across Northern Michigan. The deadline to donate is Dec. 20th. Drop off your donations at the KHQ offices in Petoskey or Traverse City!
Santa has a new home in TC! Volunteers were working to build the new home for Santa over the weekend. The old home was in desperate need of repairs. The new house was redesigned from the ground up by Dean Adams of Bay Area Contracting. Now traditionally Santa's house is located at the corner of Front and Cass, but because of contruction the house, which will now have more of a "cabin" feel, will be located at the southeast corner of Cass and State.

And there's talk that Katie Couric's daytime talk show could be canceled. No official word but she did just sign a new deal with Yahoo, which some say means she's laying the groundwork for her next gig.
