The first same sex marriage in Michigan will happen later today after Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians Chairman Dexter McNamara signs the bill allowing same sex marriage. Read more about it here from 7/4 News.
Ever want to take a tour of the old state hospital in TC? There's a portion of Building 50 at The Village at Grand Traverse that is set to be reconstucted this spring but before that happens tours are being offered! Tours kick off this weekend for ages 12 and up at $25 per person, it's a 90 minute tour where you'll go through the North End of the building that hasn't been touched for about 25 years. You will get to see the tunnels and a whole lot of history! If you want tickets GO HERE!
How would you handle it if you were working the front desk at your hotel and the Pope stopped by to pick up his luggage? I love this story! I keep hearing these reports about how humble Pope Francis is, he lived in a small apartment in Argentina, etc. Well, back to the hotel, he just popped in to pick his things up after being elected.
