Helping Out the Homeless

NOTE: The Goodwill Inn's Fall Food Drive is 11/10 to 11/14, make your donations by clicking HERE

We have heard from a source close to Anthony Ciccone that he has decided to pass on our offer to assist, we would like to express that if he changes his mind, we will still rally behind him.

We realize it's impossible to help out every single person that needs help but getting word out is very important so they know it's there (in different forms) and raising awareness is just as important for those who really don't know what's going on.

Through out this week the issue of the homeless population in Northern Michigan has really been brought to the forefront not only locally but nationwide. As snow starts to fly our area shelters and homeless will need all of our help. Below is a list of the different shelters around the area with links on how you can help out and information if you, or someone you know, may find themselves in that unfortunate situation.

We know it's our duty as a radio station to do our best to help the community. If you know of anyone in a tough situation KHQ's Coats for Kids distribution will happen this Saturday (October 29th) at Skilled Manufacturing on Cass in TC. There are not only kids coats but adult coats as well. We will open the doors at 10am so please be sure to get there early as the coats tend to go rather quickly.

To find out how you can help a local homeless shelter, check out some of these links:
