Great story out of the Straights. A crew member on a tug just off of Mackinac Island needed to get to family because his mother had just passed away. Problem was, the tug was too far from shore in the ice. So the Mackinac Island Fire Deptartment headed out on the ice to get him. Details from 7 and 4 news here...
Speaking of 7 and 4 news, their news staff and our staff have become pretty close over the past couple years and we heard yesterday that Melissa Smith is leaving 7 and 4's morning show. We're sad she won't be on our studio TV any more but we are very happy for her! Her final day is next Friday.
It's expected that the Governor (sorry Walking Dead reference) will be announcing whether or not Detroit gets an emergency manger today. #6.) How the only way to get song lyrics was to hope the band or artist printed them inside the tape or CD liner notes.
#7.) How you used to have your friends' phone numbers MEMORIZED . . . and why you used to have to talk to their parents sometimes when you called them.
