43 years after a soldier lost his life fighting in Vietnam his family in Kingsley has finally been able to get closure. John Burgress was listed as missing in action since 1970 when his helicopter went down near the Cambodian border. A new discovery lead to John getting the proper burial. Peak fall colors are coming very soon to Northern Michigan and the Grand Traverse Conservation District is offering a fall color kayak tour on the Boardman River. Also, The Inland Seas Educational Association is going to be offering tours on the ex-Navy motor whaleboat “Lake Sturgeon.” Interested? Get more here.

 

What's Up in Entertainment?

“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” nailed the #1 spot at movies this weekend. “Prisoners” took home 2nd, “Rush” took 3rd, “Baggage Claim” was 4th and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's movie, “Don Jon” came in 5th.

“Breaking Bad” is DONE and the props are up for sale! For example, the Tuco's Grill is going for $8,200, Jesse's Toyota is going for $5,500 and the teddy bear is going for $2,100 (probably all way higher by now). Check out all the items from screenbid.com.
