A great way to see what was popular in 2012 is checking Google's yearly trends. Google has released its list of the most-searched stuff of the year. It includes WHITNEY HOUSTON, "Gangnam Style", "The Hunger Games", ONE DIRECTION and the iPhone 5.
Ever watch Criminal Minds and think, "nah, there's no way anyone is that screwed up."? Well they are and this is pretty serious. A New Mexico inmate serving life for rape and murder convinced two guys to strangle and castrate JUSTIN BIEBER for him. They were supposed to do it last month in New York City. But before they could carry out the plan, the mastermind himself turned them in. They were both arrested. The two men were supposed to murder and castrate four people in total, and were offered $2,500 PER TESTICLE.
LINDSAY LOHAN'S probation was officially REVOKED yesterday. And a January 15th hearing has been set to determine whether she'll go to jail. She could get hit with up to 245 days behind bars.
If you're a fan of "Glee" and the movies "Love Actually" tonight at 9 on Fox Glee is doing their tribute to the 2003 movie.
Forbes.com has put out a list of The Top-Earning Women in Music . . . and BRITNEY SPEARS came out on top. She made an estimated $58 million in their measurement period, which was between May of 2011 and May of 2012. TAYLOR SWIFT was a close second with $57 million.

The website Babycenter.com put together a list of the most unusual baby names of 2012. At least TWO parents independently reported each of the names, so none are a FLUKE. Some of the worst girl names are Excel, Jagger, Monalisa, Rogue, Thinn, and Yoga. Some of the worst boy names are Burger, Cello, Espn, Haven'T, and Hippo
This sounds like it's straight out of a cartoon. In Poland, a 32-year-old man wanted to prove to his wife that he could do housework, so he decided to iron while he had a beer and watched boxing on TV. But when the phone rang . . . he accidentally pressed the IRON to his ear. He suffered burns but is expected to fully recover.
