RIHANNA posted some pictures of a brand new Porsche that her people at Roc Nation bought for her. The car is worth between $150,000 and $200,000 . . . and sources say JAY-Z bought it for her as a reward for breaking up with CHRIS BROWN.
JESSICA SIMPSON'S first Weight Watchers ad hit the Internet yesterday. In it she says she lost more than 50 pounds, and adds, quote, "I'm only human. I love food, I love life. I had no idea I could be so in control and so free at the same time!" Meanwhile, sources say Jessica has been telling friends that she IS pregnant again.
You won't have to wait long at all for the "Anchorman" sequel. It's due out on December 20th, 2013 . . . literally ONE YEAR FROM TODAY. There's no word on the plot, but the entire news team is returning: Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner.
A new "Twilight Zone" series is in development . . . again. No network is attached yet. In fact, all we know is that "X-Men" director Bryan Singer is onboard as an executive producer.
Yesterday, "Time" magazine named its Person of the Year, and they went with . . . PRESIDENT OBAMA. Their reason was, quote, "For finding and forging a new majority, for turning weakness into opportunity, and for seeking, amid great adversity, to create a more perfect union."

For the lovers or the people that think they are: If you've only been dating someone for a few months, and you're panicking over what to get them for Christmas, here's a little guidance. GO CHEAP. In a new survey, 61% of people say that it's more awkward to receive a gift that seems too expensive for that point in the relationship than a gift that seems too cheap.
Guilty: According to a new survey, two thirds of people have checked someone out on social media before agreeing to go on a date with them. And most of them have found something that caused them to CHANGE THEIR MIND. A bad profile picture is the thing most likely to cost you a date . . . followed by no sense of humor.
Gower Elementary School in Nashville, Tennessee has no security, and after last week's school shooting in Connecticut, many parents are worried . . . including one who's a staff sergeant in the Marines. So each day, he stands guard outside the school, in uniform. He doesn't have a weapon, but parents and kids say his presence helps them feel better.
