KARMA!! Sunday night, LINDSAY LOHAN Tweeted her frustration that she's spent time in jail for her vehicular mishaps, while AMANDA BYNES has not. And the universe responded by giving Lindsay another visit to police HQ. Yesterday morning, Lindsay was ARRESTED for allegedly hitting a pedestrian with her Porsche in a crosswalk in Manhattan, then taking off.
It was just announced that SHAKIRA will sub in for CHRISTINA AGUILERA on the Spring season of "The Voice". And yesterday, Shakira had more big news to share: She's PREGNANT. The father is soccer star GERARD PIQUÉ, whom she's been dating for over a year and a half. He's 25 . . . she's 35. There's no word on her due date.
Comedians at the next Comedy Central roast are going to have to find a new target for their fat jokes. LISA LAMPANELLI has lost 80 pounds thanks to gastric sleeve surgery, which basically took away 85% of her stomach.
TMZ says that "X Factor" wants KHLOE KARDASHIAN to host this season, but they'd have to work around her obligations to the E! network. Producers want to pair her with MARIO LOPEZ . . . but CORBIN BLEU from "High School Musical" is also a fallback option if they can't get Khloe or Mario
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS says he expects this to be the last season of "How I Met Your Mother", despite talk that CBS may be interested in two more. Neil says that the cast's contracts expire after this season, and while they "love" doing the show, they're all, quote, "anxious to move forward."
Tonight is going to be a great night on 7 and 4 (according to Josh). SNL's Prime Time Election Special is on at 8 and the Office kicks off it's final season at 9.
Stupid Stuff You Don't Need to Know
Here are three NEW things to worry about: A study found women talk and contribute 75% less when they're in groups with men . . . people who stalk their exes on Facebook have a harder time moving on with their lives . . . and13% of new homes are now built without a garage, the highest number in more than a decade.
A 60-year-old woman in Ohio just came forward with a pretty shocking story: Her dead husband was actually also her FATHER. She didn't find out until after he died, and she took a DNA test. They had three kids together . . . meaning she was her kids' mother AND their half-sister. She came forward to let people know you can have a good, fulfilling life even if you find yourself in a MISERABLE situation.
In Minnesota, a woman was just arrested for making her 11-year-old nephew ride in the TRUNK on the way home from an amusement park . . . because he'd gone on a water ride and she didn't want him dripping on the leather seats in her Lexus. She's facing up to one year in prison for child endangerment.
A predatory sex offender is off the streets in Oregon today . . . all thanks to the fact that he's a really bad WEDDING CATERER. This a-hole was running a wedding catering company and did such a bad job the local news' "Problem Solvers" team went to investigate him. When they did, they found he was a sex offender who was wanted for not updating his location. He was arrested.
Back in July, an 18-year-old was arrested after she was driving drunk, hit a car, then drove off. And when she got home, she posted on Facebook, quote, "My dumb [a**] got a DUI and hit a car . . . LOL." The judge found out and told her to deactivate her Facebook. The woman didn't, so she was hit with two days in jail for contempt of court. She's also facing several charges from the crash.
In Rhode Island, a school district has banned its traditional FATHER-DAUGHTER DANCE . . . because they discriminate against kids with single mothers. Apparently a single mother complained to the ACLU that her daughter couldn't go to the dance. And under Rhode Island state law, that's classified as illegal discrimination.
Last week, a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol pilot flew a government helicopter over his son's high school in Virginia. It was all part of his son's plan to ask a girl to a dance by having his dad drop a teddy bear from the helicopter. The girl said yes . . . but now Customs has launched an investigation into the dad for potentially misusing their helicopter.
