Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month

New Snowshoe Hikes

Saturdays, January 4th through March 14th Choose from 2 ranger-led snowshoe hikes to explore Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore park. The “Snowshoe Saunter” is for beginners, and the “Snowshoe Trek” is for more experienced hikers. To participate, meet at the Philip A. Hart Visitors Center in Empire. Lantern-Lit Snowshoe at the Grass River Natural Area

Join a naturalist on a guided hike through the Grass River’s forest at night to look for sights and sounds of nocturnal animals. Admission is $5. Snowshoes are available for rent for an additional $5. Meet at the Grass River Center and bring a flashlight or headlamp. Get details at grassriver.org

Women’s March TC 2020

Gather at the Workshop Brewing Company at 1pm, then join a march through downtown Traverse City, ending at the Parkway where you will stand for an hour, then gather back at the Workshop, for speakers, community building and conversation. TC Track Club’s Frozen Foot Race
