Antrim:
The Antrim Historical Society invites one and all to partake in a cherished local tradition – the annual reading of the Declaration of Independence. This patriotic event will unfold on Thursday, July 4th, commencing at 8:30 am at the iconic Bandstand on Jameson Avenue.
Beaver Island:
Celebrate Independence Day like no place else does with the Beaver Island Independence Day Parade. The Big Parade kicks off at 1:00 with an Island Airways Flyover, featuring the missing man formation with the parade lead by our AMVETs and island fire, paramedics, EMTs, sheriffs and safety personnel and their equipment. Then lots of floats and lots of candy. Want to be in the parade? Line up for the parade beginning at 12:30 starting at Holy Cross Church along Kings Highway.
The township sponsored fireworks display will be on July 4th this year, as spectacular as ever. Enjoy both the boat parade and the fireworks over Paradise Bay from Whiskey Point, the Public Beach, the porch of the Beachcomber, your boat or pretty much anywhere with a view of the sky over the bay. It’s the perfect way to end a 4th of July Weekend Beaver Island Style
Bellaire:
Join Shanty Creek for a fireworks display, at dusk, around 9:30pm. Located behind the Lakeview Hotel, overlooking beautiful Lake Bellaire.
Boyne City:
9am – 5pm: Bounce Houses, Rock Wall & Water Slides: $20 Bracelet, Veteran’s Memorial Park
9:30am: Pre-Parade Entertainment by Boyne Area Gymnastics, Lake Street by the Log Cabin
9:30am: Pre-Parade Entertainment by Lake Side Elite, Water Street
9:55am: National Anthem performed by Asuka Barden, Lake Street in front of Log Cabin
10am: GRAND PARADE, Downtown Boyne City
10am – 5pm: 49th Annual Waterside Art & Craft Fair + Food Trucks, Veteran’s Memorial Park
10:30pm: GRAND FIREWORKS, Over Lake Charlevoix (Rain date July 5th)
Harbor Springs:
Paul Revere 5K &10 Mile Run, 8 a.m. Proceeds benefit school track and cross-country teams.
American Legion Breakfast, 8-11 a.m., 101 E. 3rd Street.
Art in the Park, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Zorn Park (waterfront)
4th of July Parade, 1 p.m. sponsored by the Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce. Parade starts at City Hall on the east end of Main Street, proceeds west, turns left at State Street, left at Bay Street and returns to end at City Hall.
Fireworks at dusk, approximately 10:30 p.m. over the harbor.
Placing chairs on the parade route can begin at 7 a.m.

Mackinaw City:
Celebrate Independence Day in Mackinaw City! The festivities start with the Mackinaw Woman’s Club Strawberry Social at noon. This yearly tradition features delicious strawberries served over vanilla ice cream – a refreshing and sweet treat. Meanwhile, kids of all ages can enjoy a variety of classic games on the marina lawn (FREE) starting at 1:30 pm, including Frisbee toss, coin scramble, hole-in-one, and egg toss. The bounce houses will add an extra dose of excitement from noon until 3:00 pm. Then enjoy one of our unique attractions, explore the boutique shops, and dine at one of our delectable eateries in charming downtown Mackinaw City. At 9:00 pm, the Straits Area Concert Band will take the stage at Conkling Heritage Park and serenade the crowd with patriotic, march, and show tunes, setting the perfect tone for the evening. Finally, prepare to be dazzled by the largest fireworks display in the Straits, lighting up the night sky at dusk, and providing a breathtaking finale to a day filled with celebration. Mackinac Island
4th of July – The day includes Stoneskipping Competition at Windermere Point, followed by fun family games in the afternoon, and two fireworks displays that will go off simultaneously at dusk. Visit mackinacisland.org for more detailed info.

Parade – Grandpa Shorter’s Fourth of July Parade: 6:00 PM
Brilliance over the Bay Fireworks Show: At Dusk – approximately 10:30 PM
Million Dollar Sunset: 9:30 PM, Petoskey is famous for its “Million Dollar Sunsets” and organizers have planned another spectacular sunset over Little Traverse Bay for precisely 9:32 p.m. on July 4th. Take a look westward over the Bay for a beautiful sight.
Little Traverse Historical Society Ice Cream Social 7:00 – 9:00 PM: Enjoy ice cream cups, ice cream bars, ice cream sandwiches and bottled water at the Little Traverse History Museum in Bayfront Park.

Join the TC Phil at Rotary Square in Downtown Traverse City from 11:00 am – Noon on the 4th! Limited seating provided. Fireworks off of Long Lake at 10pm!
