BACK TO SCHOOL BLITZ CASH GIVEAWAY Official Rules
1. Sponsor WKHQ-FM (“Hits 106 KHQ” or “Station”), licensed to MacDonald Garber Broadcasting, together with the Sponsors of the promotion (collectively, the “Sponsors”).
2. Eligibility Open only to legal residents of the eleven (11) counties comprising the Station’s Total Survey Area (TSA) as defined by Nielsen who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of the Station, the Sponsors, their respective parent companies, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members and/or household members of such employees are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.
3. Contest Period Entry period begins on the date official entry forms become available and ends at the close of business on Thursday, September 4, 2026 (“Entry Deadline”). Entries received after the Entry Deadline will be void.
4. How to Enter Complete an official entry form and deposit it in a designated entry box at a participating location. Limit one (1) entry per person per location. Multiple entries by the same person at the same location will be disqualified. No purchase necessary to enter or win.
5. Prizes Two (2) prizes will be awarded:
- One (1) Teacher winner will receive One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) cash.
- One (1) Student or Parent winner will receive One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) cash.
Total prize value: Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00). Prizes will be awarded in the form of a check made payable to the verified winner. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
6. Winner Selection On or about Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the Station will randomly select one (1) Teacher winner and one (1) Student or Parent winner from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
7. Winner Notification & Claiming Winners will be announced on-air during the “Ashley Z in the Morning” show on Hits 106 KHQ on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Potential winners will also be notified by telephone or email. Potential winners must claim their prize within ninety (90) days of notification. Failure to claim the prize within the 90-day period will result in forfeiture, and an alternate winner may be selected at the Station’s sole discretion.
8. Publicity / Release By entering, each entrant grants the Station and the Sponsors the right to use his/her name, likeness, voice, and biographical information for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
9. General Conditions The Station and Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond their reasonable control impairs the integrity of the contest. The Station and Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries. All decisions of the Station are final and binding.
10. Limitation of Liability By participating, entrants release and hold harmless the Station, the Sponsors, their respective parent companies, affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability arising out of participation in the contest or the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.
11. Winner List For a list of winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Back to School Blitz Winners, c/o WKHQ-FM, MacDonald Garber Broadcasting, [insert station address], within thirty (30) days after the end of the contest.
